Interview Settings

Configure optional settings for each interview, including expiry dates, feature toggles, and notifications.

Navigate to Train Ezra → Step 6: Interview Settings (and the Notifications step).

Expiry date​

Set the date after which the interview link will no longer work. Candidates who try to access the interview after this date will see a message that the link has expired and are prompted to contact the recruiting team.

Expiry dates are set in UTC. Account for your candidates' time zones when choosing an expiry time.

Communication analysis​

When enabled, Ezra analyzes the communication patterns in candidate responses — including sentiment over time and communication style signals.

This setting may be enabled or disabled at the company level by an admin. If it's disabled globally, it cannot be turned on for individual interviews.

Fraud detection​

When enabled, Ezra looks for patterns consistent with scripted or externally assisted answers and flags them as part of the evaluation. This feature appears as Cheat Detection in candidate evaluations.

This is a decision-support tool — findings are surfaced for your review but do not affect the candidate's overall score and do not make any automated decisions.

Take a test interview​

Before inviting candidates, take the interview yourself to hear how it sounds and verify Ezra is asking the right questions in the right way.

Click Start test interview. This opens the same interview experience candidates will see. Your test responses will not appear in the candidate results list.

Notifications​

Configure who gets notified and through which channels when interview activity happens.

Email notifications​

Select which team members receive email notifications for:

  • A new candidate registers for the interview
  • A candidate completes their interview
  • An issue occurs during an interview

Slack notifications​

If your company has Slack connected, select which channels receive notifications. You can set different channels for different types of events.

Click Test connection to confirm Ezra can post to the selected channel.

Inviting others to receive notifications​

Click + Invite recruiter to add team members who aren't yet in Ezra to the notification list for this interview.
